Barrington Primary School was pleased to welcome Councillor Janice Ward-Wilson and Councillor Chris Taylor for a recent visit to see the work taking place across our school.

During the visit, we shared our ongoing work to promote sustainable travel, including the use of public transport for trips and the development of our Travel for Life Plan. This encourages walking, the use of public transport and considerate parking around the school to help keep our community safe.

We also highlighted our achievement of the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Gold Award, the Active Lunchtimes Gold Standard, our citizenship opportunities such as visits to the Fire Brigade, and our upcoming Walkability training.

We are grateful to both councillors for taking the time to visit and for their interest in supporting our school community as we continue working to provide the best possible environment for our children.
